Grammy Award Winning Saxophone-player, composer, conductor, Lars Møller, took students of the university through topics which shed some light on their skillsets and enabling them towards learning from his experiences. This was an eye opener towards the global outlook their music needs to take, how mental health in music and building communities can do for us, the importance of embodied learning, the essence of jazz and what are the most important things to keep in mind to have a life long career in the music industry.

Being the ensemble and bass faculty at True School of Music, Anand accompanied Lars in this 3-hour workshop which involved a 1-hour live performance and in-depth performance based study & analysis.

Concept Albums

A session on bands of yesteryear that have released thematic concept albums that revolve around plots of politics, pop culture, racism, societal conformities and other relevant topics.

In this workshop, Anand discussed the thematic concepts that defined the work of some of the most iconic bands throughout the history of music that have released some of the most successful concept albums of all time.

This was an in-depth session that focused on how lyric writing, songwriting, composition impacts the psyche of people.

Quintessential Groove Fundamentals

In this masterclass, Anand covered the various aspects of blending drums & bass while setting up new compositions and in songwriting. He also covered the art of using simple technique based exercises into interesting grooves while composing modern day music.
